Pastor's Notes

HOW TO KNOW  YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

Do you know that you will spend eternity in Heaven? You can have that assurance by knowing that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Below you will learn the steps you must take to invite Jesus into your heart which not only will bring eternal life but peace of mind like you have never known.

1. You must admit that you are a sinner. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. This excludes no one. The only perfect one to walk this earth was Jesus Christ, so humble yourself and admit you are a sinner.
2. Recognize the penalty for sin. “The wages of sin is death (eternal death in hell, separation from God) but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
3. Recognize and accept the fact that Jesus Christ loves you and paid the penalty for your sins when He was crucified on the cross. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
4. Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior through faith. There is nothing you can do through good works or by living a good moral life, or by joining a church or by being baptized that will save you, it is a free gift which must be received by faith... “For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8).
5. Confess your sins, ask Jesus to come into your heart and then believe He has because He said He would if you call upon Him. “If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved, for with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9,10,13)

Are you now ready to be forgiven of you sins and receive Jesus Christ into your life assuring you of eternal life and peace in your heart? If so simply bow your head, humble yourself before the Lord and pray this prayer:

Dear Lord, I confess that I am a sinner. I am truly sorry for my sins and ask that you now forgive me, cleanse my life and come into my heart. I now receive you into my life and with your help I will strive to live for you from this day forward. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and saving my soul.

Now tell somebody you have trusted Christ as Savior. Send me an e-mail and let me know of your decision. Pray and read your bible daily.
